I was the first citizen in the U.K. to support publicly France about the murder of Samuel Paty, a French secondary school teacher, which took place on 16 October 2020 in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in Paris. Paty was killed and beheaded by an Islamic terrorist.
On 28.10.2020, I visited the French Embassy in London and left some flowers and a thank you note at its entrance.
The former French Ambassandor Ms Catherine Colonna discovered my note and flowers, took a photograph and uploaded a tweet on her personal twitter account, which reached 11.000 people in a day and motivated people to also stand and support France.
